Teachers, please do not allow students out of class for any reason the first 10 minutes of class or the last 10 minutes of class.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation arranges experiences described as “wishes” to children with life-threatening medical conditions. At Leavitt we are hosting Make- A- Wish MONDAYS! If you buy a Make A Wish Bracelet at lunch for $1 you will be released to Lunch 2 minutes early on MONDAYS if you are wearing your Make-A-Wish Bracelet! Please support the Make A Wish foundation!
Attention 8th Graders! Here are the next 2 open houses coming up:
Spring Valley Grizzleys- December 13 and Desert Pines- Animation, Radio and Video Production- December 16– 9 to 11 am. Remember to visit magnet.ccsd.net to apply before January! Good Luck to all!
Join us on Thursday, December 14th for our next fundraiser at Jack in the Box on Craig. Staff members will be working behind the counter to take your orders from 5-8 pm. Fliers will be available in the Dean’s office.
Next week is Spirit week, fun activities are planned for all to participate. Wed- Winter Wonderland, Thurs-Winter Athletic Clothes Day, and Fri- Pajama Day. Hot chocolate will also be sold all week during lunch.
Movie night will be Thursday after school, Student Council will be showing the Polar Express in the cafeteria after school. Get your ticket when you buy hot chocolate or a Make A Wish band at lunch.
Finals start on Wednesday, Dec. 20 through Friday, Dec. 22, students will be dismissed at 12:45 on these days only. Snacks will be sold in the quad during the three days for $1.00 at passing time.
You picked up the pace in the reading challenge this week and read over 48,000 pages. Liderazgo led this week with 10,837 pages followed by Ujasiri with 10,111 pages. Points are awarded as follows:
5 for Liderazgo, 4 for Ujarsiri, 3 for Dobrota, 2 for Muteki, 1 for Kaliq.
The following random readers will receive a prize from Mrs. Lyman. Stop by the library and pick it up.

Any students that are in Drama Club, meetings will be cancelled for the next 2 Thursdays 12/14, and 12/21.
Our music department is selling Yogurtland coupons for $5.00, see a band, choir, guitar, or orchestra student to buy one for yourself or as a gift.
Students in order to help speed up the lunch lines, please have your sides picked out before you get to the window. The lunch special for today is Cheesy Breadstick Dippers with Marinara. Thanks for your help.
