Good morning!  This is Friday, December 8, 2017. This is A week. We are in periods 1-6

Teachers, please do not allow students out of class for any reason the first 10 minutes of class or the last 10 minutes of class.

 

The Make-A-Wish Foundation arranges experiences described as “wishes” to children with life-threatening medical conditions. At Leavitt we are hosting Make- A- Wish MONDAYS!  If you buy a Make A Wish Bracelet at lunch for $1 you will be released to Lunch 2 minutes early on MONDAYS if you are wearing your Make-A-Wish Bracelet! Please support the Make A Wish foundation!

 

Attention 8th Graders! Here are the next 3 open houses coming up:

Rancho High School- Aviation program- December 9 from 10am to Noon; Spring Valley Grizzleys- December 13 and Desert Pines- Animation, Radio and Video Production- December 16– 9 to 11 am.

Remember to visit magnet.ccsd.net to apply before January!

Good Luck to all! LVA will host their ART preview this Saturday, December 9 from 9am to 1 pm.

The cost is $10, with snacks included! No need to bring anything, LVA will have the needed supplies. Be sure to pre register for this event.

 

Join us on Thursday, December 14th for our next fundraiser at Jack in the Box on Craig. Staff members will be working behind the counter to take your orders from 5-8 pm. Fliers will be available in the Dean’s office.

 

Next week is Spirit week, fun activities are planned for all to participate. Mon- Color block day, Tues- Ugly Sweater Day, Wed- Winter Wonderland, Thurs-Winter Athletic Clothes Day, and Fri- Pajama Day. Hot chocolate will also be sold all week during lunch.

The book fair is here!  The book fair is here!  Bring in all those nickels, pennies, and dimes and come see the book fair.  There are lots of new exciting books for sale.  It is a great place to do your Christmas shopping.  The book fair will stay open this week on concert nights so you can bring your family in to check it out.  Looking forward to seeing you there.

 

Any students that are in Drama Club, meetings will be cancelled for the next 2 Thursdays 12/14, and 12/21.

 

All dance team members that do not show up for practice on Friday will be cut from the team. See Mrs. Butto if you have any questions.

 

Our music department is selling Yogurtland coupons for $5.00, see a band, choir, guitar, or orchestra student to buy one for yourself or as a gift.

 

Students in order to help speed up the lunch lines, please have your sides picked out before you get to the window. The lunch special for today is Blazin’ Buffalo Chicken drumsticks. Thanks for your help.
