Good morning!  This is Wednesday, March 7, 2018. This is B week. We are in periods 6,5,3,4,2,1

Students as a reminder skateboards, scooters and bicycles are not to be ridden on campus or in the parking lot at any time.


Students please keep all food in the quad or cafeteria during lunch time, only water will be allowed on the field.


Do you have school spirit? Love to cheer?  Now is your opportunity to be a part of our amazing cheer team here at Leavitt Middle School.  If you are interested in becoming a member of our team for the next year, please attend a mandatory meeting in the cafeteria on March 13. Flyers are in the front office or see Mrs. Parker in room 616 for more information!


Come out and cheer on our boys soccer team as they take on Cadwallader at 4:15.


Good luck to our girls softball team as they take on Cadwallader at 3:45 tomorrow.


Congrats to our girls softball girls on their first win against Johnson MS. Homeruns by Kiana Bell and Madelyn O’Neal and Carmela Korte helped earn the win.


Congrats to Kaliq for earning the most positive points in the Penny Wars. In total Leavitt raise over $415 for Make A Wish. With the matching donor this means over $830 was raised in 3 days! Great Job, Patriots! Registration for the Make A Wish walk this Saturday is still happening. See Mrs. Pedego for more information.


For All Week and Next: All students interested in Student Council must pick up a packet from Mrs. Krier in room 823 or Mrs. Pedego in the counseling office. All applications are due after spring break.



Due to testing in the library next week, we will be moving our Forgiveness Day up a week.  It will be this Friday.  Come see Mrs. Lyman and she will remove any fine up to $5.00.  If you have no fine, she will give you a treat.  See you on Friday.


Join us at our next dining fundraiser on Tuesday, March 13th from 5-9 at Red Robin at 7860 West Tropical Parkway. Flyers will be available in the Dean’s office and you must have it with you on the night of the event.


Great job this week in the reading challenge.  We read almost 35,000 pages. Liderazgo led this week with 9,954 pages followed by Dobrota with 8,161 pages. Points are awarded as follows: 5 for Liderazgo; 4 for Dobrota;

3 for Ujasiri; 2 for Kaliq; 1 for Muteki. The following random readers will receive a prize from Mrs. Lyman.  Stop by the library and pick it up. Dobrota- Ethan Clock, Gwenyth Sturmillo; Kaliq- Cadence Evaristo, Madison Lindell; Liderazgo- Aunica Bourquin, Faraji Ayoub; Muteki- Elizabeth Franco, Mr. Wipperman; Ujasiri- Hannah Gibson, Dylan Warfield. Keep up the reading and may your House be on top next week. Students in order to help speed up the lunch lines, please have your sides picked out before you get to the window. The lunch special for today is Mesquite Chicken Drumsticks. Thanks for your help.
